The brand “Montado de Sobro e Cortiça” was formally presented in Coruche on the afternoon of May 25th during the 10th edition of FICOR – International Cork Fair and aims to encourage young people to stay in the countryside, promote tourism and create new entrepreneurs. “This is a brand that shows that Portugal is not just a beach. It’s not just wine. It is not just Lisbon and Porto. It’s not just Fátima, football and fado. And it’s not just Ronaldo. Portugal is also the cork oak and cork oak forest ”, says Gonçalo Cabecinhas, technician of the Collective Efficiency Strategy (EEC PROVERE).
“This brand not only stimulates the consumption of food products, handicrafts and services that are produced in this territory, but also encourages people to live, visit and invest in this territory”. The brand’s Quality Seal was one of the highlights in this presentation, which, in short, is a stamp of recognized quality. The adherent receives the seal to stick on his product or on the door of his services, which certifies that his products and services are of quality and come from the cork and cork oak forest.
