CONCEPTED PORTUGUESE ARCHITECT IN CONFERENCE ON THE USE OF CORK IN ARCHITECTURE

The renowned Portuguese architect, Cristina Verissimo, was present at the conference “Cork: New Uses of Architecture” at Escuela de Arquitectura UC, in Chile, organized in partnership with the Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon.

Cristina Verissimo has an enviable curriculum, with a degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon and a Masters in Architecture from Harvard University. In addition to having worked with architects João Luís Carrilho da Graça, in Lisbon, and Zaha Hadid, in London, he founded the CVDB studio with Diogo Burnay, who has won national and international awards. The conference, held on June 20, exposed the use and adaptation of waste resulting from the cork industry to create new materials with enormous potential for construction.
