The 2nd Iberian Conference on Acorn takes place on the weekend of November 10-11, in the middle of cork oak forest.
The University of Évora will host the first day of the event, November 10, marking that day the World Day of Acorn. About 14 researchers, academics, entrepreneurs and nutritionists are part of the panel of speakers, who will approach the product from a historical, environmental, economic, nutritional and sociocultural perspective.
On the second day, November 11, the conference will be held in Montemor-o-Novo lands, with visits to Montado (Escoural), lunch at Herdade do Freixo do Meio and demonstration sessions and tastings of products based on this typical product of the cork oak forest.
During the two days there will be shows and sale of acorn products.
