From the 8th to the 9th of November, the Cine-Granadeiro Auditório Municipal, in Grândola, was the main stage for the study of the themes related to the cork oak and holm oak forests in Portugal, when it hosted the 2nd Colloquium on Flora and Fauna of the Montados .
This meeting received scholars and researchers, focusing mainly on the themes of biodiversity and resource conservation, multifunctionality and environmental services, integrated management and policies, as well as on the factors promoting the decline of the Montado, in order to analyze and reflect on the problems identified in the recent years, contributing to the search for solutions, namely through the implementation of suggestions for ongoing research.
It should also be noted that this was an event organized by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, the municipality of Grândola, Terras Dentro and the University of Évora / ICAAM.
