On September 22, in Coimbra, the Municipality of Coruche signed the financing contract for the Herdade dos Concelhos Interpretation Center in Vila Nova da Erra — a project that is part of the EEC PROVERE Montado de Sobro e Cortiça action plan.
The total investment is €1.5 million, with €400,000 financed by Turismo de Portugal through the +Interior Turismo line.
The future Center will offer an immersive experience in the Montado, combining nature, sustainability, and well-being, with themed trails, walkways, viewpoints, leisure areas, and nature and astronomy tourism activities.
With this project, Coruche reaffirms its commitment to innovative and sustainable tourism that values cork, the territory, and local identity.
