Applications are now open for Payment for Ecosystem Services – Green Heart of Cork+
The Green Heart of Cork+ (GHoC+) project, led by WWF Portugal in partnership with FSC Portugal, supports landowners who adopt responsible practices in managing cork and holm oak montados through a payment for ecosystem services scheme.
In 2026, you can apply to three categories:
GHoC+ Classic, GHoC+ Certification, and GHoC+ Eco.
Applications are open from January 28 to March 31.
Evaluations will take place in April, with payments scheduled for June.
