Applications are now open for Payments for Ecosystem Services – Green Heart of Cork +.
Green Heart of Cork+ (GHoC+), a project by WWF Portugal in partnership with FSC Portugal, supports landowners who adopt responsible practices in the management of cork oak and holm oak landscapes through payments for ecosystem services.
In 2026, you can apply to three categories:
GHoC+ Classic, GHoC+ Certification, and GHoC+ Eco.
Applications are open from January 28 to March 31.
Evaluation takes place in April, and payments are made in June.
